I’m so glad there’s a “This American Life” treatment of this. I saw Mike Daisey’s show The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs a couple years ago.
If you see Daisey’s show, it will not leave your brain for a very long time. Daisey is unassuming. When he is not, he can be brash, course and loud. All this serves to compound his brilliance. It haunts you that he speaks so honestly.
And kudos to Ira Glass saying “So, what are we supposed to think about all of this?” That’s what the kids call critical thinking.
Put both together and this episode is well worth the time to listen.
